Instructor Klaas Barends visited Palma de Mallorca to teach a hankido seminar to the members of our federation in Spain.
Plans for seminars in 2018 are starting to take shape. In January seminars have been confirmed with instructor Klaas Barends in Thailand and Spain. In May we will host another HKD Spring Seminar in Korea. In June we hope to welcome master Ko Se-hwan to Europe.
Want to train martial arts in Korea? In the spring of 2018 our federation will host a two week hankimuye seminar at our new headquarters in Seosan, South-Korea. Two weeks filled with quality hankido, hapkido and hankumdo training.
In October instructor Klaas Barends (6th dan) will visit our schools in Finland to teach a weekend long seminar. Hankido and hankumdo will be the topics of the classes. Every year we host a HKD Summer Camp. Once every two years the camp takes place in Korea, the other year the camp takes place in dojang of Chongmukwan in the Netherlands. Recently two instructors of our federation visited Haïti. Michael Lee and Klaas Barends visited the Mission of Love and Hope in Cité Soleil, the poorest commune of Haïti. The Mission runs a church, hospital, school and supports four local orphanages. Ten students follow a instructor course of our federation which should enable them to teach
The Hankimuye Summer Seminars 2016 have come to an end. We shared the mat with a group of very enthusiastic hankido practitioners. Training, sleeping and eating 24/7 at the headquarters of our federation in Incheon, South-Korea. The official seminars lasted two weeks, but some people decided to stay a week longer. We are glad to announce that three new schools have decided to join our organisation. After a weekend seminar on the Spanish island Mallorca the schools of Pedro Campillo Frontera, David Martinez and Carlos Leal Campón joined the World Hankimuye Federation. We welcome them to our family.
In the first week of master Ko Baek-yong’s visit to the Netherlands he taught a week long HKD training camp at Chongmukwan in Urk. Participants from several Dutch schools trained three times a day under the ever watchful eye of master Ko. Each session lasted at least two hours.
Master Ko Baek-yong arrived in the Netherlands where he will kick off the European Hankimuye Seminars of 2016. Master Ko will also travel to Finland and Spain to teach hankido.
