Eventhough the world is still in the grip of the current pandemic we want to look forward and start making plans for the future. That’s why we are glad to announce the plans for our bi-annual summer camp.
Master Ko Baek-yong passed away three years ago on October 5, 2017. This year on October 3 will we honor him, as we do every year, with a special training assignment. We ask the members of our organisation to add the following to their training on that day:
At this time it is near to impossible for our federation to plan new international events in 2020. We already had to postpone three major events planned and at this point the situation is to unclear to plan new events for 2020.
From September 30 until October 5 the first Hankimuye Master Course took place at the headquarters of our federation in South-Korea. The goal of this event was to discus the future of our federation and to set a course for the following years.

Our federation’s leaders have developed three new certification programs. Next to rearranging the black belt requirements for hankido and hankumdo a new instructor certification program is introduced.
Master Ko Sehwan recently traveled to Europe to teach at schools in the Netherlands, Finland and Spain.
Master Ko Sehwan will be teaching seminars in the Netherlands, Finland and Spain in September and October this year. Master Ko Sehwan has been invited by schools in these countries to share his knowledge of hankido and hankumdo.
Plans for seminars in 2018 are starting to take shape. In January seminars have been confirmed with instructor Klaas Barends in Thailand and Spain. In May we will host another HKD Spring Seminar in Korea. In June we hope to welcome master Ko Se-hwan to Europe.
